I did some tests by pasting in texts of varying lengths and the application preview never cuts anything off. Given that the form does not allow for paragraph breaks, I am personally going to aim to submit a paragraph (~100 words) for legibility reasons.

I think it depends what your experience is. If you have extensive legal experience, there could be a question as to how you will benefit from the open day.
