Applying for vacation schemes with low 2nd year grades
I had mitigating circumstances (mental health challenges) for that module that allowed me to defer it to August. During The exam itself, i encountered a technical error with my notes for half an hour but didn’t register that as EC. Not sure if that helps?- aspiringsolicitor2027

Getting a 2:2 in second year and applying to vacation schemes
Hey Jessica, I’m in a similar (ish) position. I’m going into third year at a Russell Group Uni and got 57% in second year. A third in one module, mid 2:1 in another. 61-68 in the remaining 3 modules.
