I thought that it means that the firm would look at the applications as they come in or by applications received within a certain period of time. Because firms which are reviewing apps on a rolling basis always tell candidates to apply as early as possible- Lily721

I think that makes sense. But then I know different unis place different emphasis on each year of the degree. Not necessarily. The word count is clue enough. I think that just putting a few attributes and then talking about them impersonally is incorrect.
