If this is the case, then I think those ”on hold” might still be rejected but encouraged to re-apply. I know Shearman does send such emails. Whatever it is, I wish firms were more prompt with rejections.....it is much better to wait longer and have good news at the end of that, than to be forced...
Yeah, it will still be an option, though providers are not required to keep offering it until 2030. Though I assume, as long as there are candidates for it, it will still be available.
I think they consider you results in conjunction with your application. So even if you get all above average, if they are not completely happy with your application, you might not be progressed.
I’ll drop this here

I actually wonder if they have sent out any rejections.....they speed with which they have been doing interviews and have given out offers is great but at the same time it is becoming less and less likely it will be positive news so I don’t know why rejections are taking much longer.
I didn’t know either until I read this:

I am sorry you had such a terrible experience.
I just would prefer to assume that, at least in my case, it was done to gauge my reaction. I was very flustered indeed.
It will be horrible to think that interviewers can be this terrible to candidates and that this is happening more often.
Just...
I do wonder though, whether it is possible for this to be on purpose in order for them to gauge the candidate’s reaction to being provoked or being faced with rudeness? Something similar happened to me awhile ago and it felt as if it was testing me on how I would react.
The grad recruiter at Latham said candidates should hear back by the middle of February, so I would probably wait a couple more weeks before contacting them.
You never know how you really did until you hear back. Don't count yourself out yet!
I know people who have had their interviews go wrong and terrible, but then been given offers!
I am sure you have done better than you think!
