Havent seen anything on forum so thought it would be worth saying if anyone waiting - got an inverview invite from Sidley Austin for spring/summer VS yesterday.
If anyone went to CC's Live chat for Assessment Day prep or the webex link, do they mind sharing any useful takeaways or notes? I couldn't make the time.
When does Freshfields conduct interviews for people applying to direct TC 2024? The application deadline is 6th Jan but am wondering when the process concludes?
Can you update your CC application (2024 TC) after you've sent it and done the WG? I have secured some Vac Schemes that I had not at the time I originally submitted my app and they ask whether you have doe Vac Schemes or have any lined up in the app.
Thanks so much for this!
I assume that, if the firm does not allow deadline extensions or rarely allows them, and you then accept/renege, you are likely to be burning bridges with that firm?
Hi guys just wondering how people are able to do multiple vacation schemes (e.g. 5) and receive offers from all of them? From what I have heard, you usually have to accept a TC offer within a month or two of receiving an offer after a VS (maybe this is a generalisation).
Are people accepting a...
If you have a VS secured for Spring but prior to that have already sent off a bunch of applications for Spring Schemes, at what point would it be advisable to ask for your application to instead be considered for the Summer Scheme?
Should you wait until you have secured the offer then ask? Or...
Thanks George - really appreciate this!
I'm actually managing to not be too stressed. My bigger issue is having my phone on loud next to me while I'm working so that I don't miss them if they call me.
mine was 17 days ago as well. I emailed GR and they responded that they would let me know the outcome by the end of last week. I don't really want to call/email them again and push it but it's slightly frustrating lol
Hi guys. For the Sidley question 'Which personal qualities make a successful lawyer?', would you recommend stating X qualities and explain why they make a successful lawyer or would you go a step further and explain why you have them or how you have developed them (that would make you a...
I was successful at AC a couple of weeks ago for the Winter VS and there was no requirement to do the WG test. However, from what others have said, it sounds like they have had this requirement in the past.
At the interview I didn't ask when they would get back to me but it's been 12 days since I had my AC. I emailed them on Friday asking if they could let me know when I'll hear back and have not got a response...
If you're applying to a VS or TC, should you list a Vacation Scheme as 'work experience' that you have not done yet but will have done by the time of the scheme you are appling to? Obviously you won't have any details you can talk about in the free text space
I did mine last thurs so have waited 8 days. Will send an email or call them on monday if i've heard nothing as will have been 10 days. From chatting to people I know apparently they tend to take 7-10 days.
I had my AC last thursday and am yet to hear back. Apparently they tend to take 7-10 days to get back although sounds like maybe it's quicker this cycle from what they've told you
