I know you didn't ask me personally but trance is my go-to music when I need a pick me up. I guess most of you won't be too familiar with it, since it peaked in popularity when you would have been very young. But if anybody is interested, Armin Van Buuren's radio show celebrated 1000 episodes...
Yes, I know it can look very cringey when you see it on American shows and in movies but I am personally a big believer in positive affirmations. While it's obviously important for self-improvement to reflect on failures and areas of weakness, I think many of us are guilty of not acknowledging...
The best way is just not to check your emails more than once or twice a day. You won't get an invite/rejection any quicker by not checking your emails. And you're only going to become frustrated or anxious.
Good luck! But even if its not good news then please don't take it to heart. I took it so personally last year when my top ("dream") firm rejected me before the AC. As others have said, firms get SO many applications. Sometimes the factors in being successful are completely beyond our control...
I do think that at least some of it comes down to luck, so I wouldn't be disheartened about it. If you keep creating opportunities, eventually you will succeed in taking one of them!
Ah really sorry to hear this! I guess on the bright side, having a couple at once means you can move past them all a bit quicker! Are you still waiting to hear back from other applications?

Passed the (post-WG) application review for Mills and Reeve - now waiting on the partner review. This is where I got to last year so hopefully I can make it to the AC! 🤞
Do you mean Addleshaw Goddard? They don't have a WG in their recruitment process - the next stage is a telephone interview. I haven't seen anybody say that they'd been invited yet though.
Off topic but I always just love the positivity & warmth in your posts! Your friends are really lucky having somebody like you there for them when things get tough. Never change!
