Hi all,
This is a maybe quite a personal question that I've been concerned about for a very long time now but never thought to ask on TCLA. For those that have completed the GDL/LPC (with or without firm sponsorship), how did you fund it? I haven't completed the GDL yet as I was concerned about...
@Jessica Booker can advise on this - I would imagine she'll say yes of course you can but it won't leave the best impression on the GR team at the firm with whom you renege :D
Keep going!!!!! 20 in the pipeline is plenty, you only need one!!!!! To do 29 applications is INSANE as well?!?! I...
HI ALL
I've had a break from TCLA for the last few days because I absolutely could not relax at all but now I am back with a bang to hype you all up!
First and foremost, is anyone applying to Lewis Silkin for a TC? Just starting their application form and it is... different! In a good way...
Love that for you!!! A test of resilience! See, for our university it really was a defined policy that non-law students could not join and the people in the society fully supported that policy. That's why we had the non-law society. It sucked. I don't think they were suggesting that alumni would...
You are so brave!!!!! Pretty sure it was through the faculty and that's how it was allowed. Part of the opposition's argument for keeping non-law students out was that additional funding could be sourced from alumni, rather than new members. Either way, I don't think I would've been confident...
Lol I know right, it was ABSURD! We had a 'Law for Non-Law' society for us, but they did not offer much other than court visits and the occasional ULaw event. The aforementioned law society (who also now partners with TCLA) actually had an incredibly divisive referendum last year. I think after...
Can I just say I love everyone on this forum equally and I think it's one of the best things about it! I just vote comments based on how I feel when reading them before even seeing the username and I feel most people do too...
Wow I've just caught up with this and gone on a whole journey from university debates to Gordon Ramsay memes, I love this forum 🤩
Regarding the RG vs Non-RG universities debate, I was just wondering whether GR typically take subjects into account (beyond the law vs non-law level) as well? I ask...
Okay this is perfect because I have basically completed Netflix and just got Prime today to try and trawl for something new to watch! Wentworth it is, I’m READY.
Love these recommendations, keep them coming!
I have put this in a little note of mine and stashed it for the weekend! This is a very exciting prospect thank you! Expect me to slide into your DMs about knitting in due course...
TWENTY-EIGHT!!!!! Lawd I could never. I think I applied to eight and then two winter vac schemes way back when...
Oh
my
GOD
What a FABULOUS idea!!!! I love anything arty and fashion and have never thought about knitting. A friend recently knitted me a top and it's great as well. I always feel like I have to be productive and that's a relaxing way of doing it, thank you!
I've actually been trying to set...
To return to the status quo of corporate law and application-based discussions...
Do any of you feel a little lost now that VS application season is coming to an end? All of mine are submitted, I've had responses from a majority of them, there aren't any more tests/VIs to do... it's like when...
Hmm, when I’ve done assessment centres in person though I’ve written on Word on a laptop? I think with TopScore, obviously the platform doesn’t have a spell check in it, but that doesn’t mean it’s because you’re not intended to use one. It gives an unfair advantage otherwise as many people have...
I did this! It didn’t say anything about not being able to but I didn’t check to be honest. I just thought it would be easier to write in Word in case my internet crashed and I lost my work on TopScore 😀
