I know a few firms take applications that are rejected for VSs and re-review them as if they're direct TC applications just in case. So that might be why? I had this with Stephenson Harwood in a previous application cycle and I'm fairly sure Farrer do it too.
I definitely agree. I had much more luck applying in the Autumn/Winter but then Covid took away my Vacation Schemes. I'm the same candidate now but getting rejection after rejection so I think timing is important. Good luck though - if this cycle doesn't work out then next cycle will be our time!
Thanks. Not sure if this is good news for me or if they've just forgotten about me. I applied well before the deadline. Who knows. Sorry about your rejection - there will be others!
I'm sorry to hear this. Do you mind me asking which office this was for, whether it was post-app for direct TC and when you applied? I still haven't heard back.
I think it depends why you missed it. If it's due to poor time management then it's likely to be viewed differently to being hospitalised and in a coma. Just email the firm, explain the situation and ask if you can take the test. The worst that can happen is that they say no.
Hi Jessica,
I have various Apply4Law applications, a FF personal statement and a CV/Cover Letter application that I'm happy to submit.
Let me know if that would help.
That's incredible! Well done! I attended Open Days at both of these firms and just loved them both so much - this would have been a really tough decision for me if I were in your position (although I'd definitely switch your tough decision for my zero offers haha). Congratulations!!
Thanks. Are you sure? I emailed them when my exam results were released (after the deadline) and they emailed me this morning to say that they've updated my application - seems like a waste of time if they aren't even going to consider my application haha. Having said that, anything is possible...
