Lucky in the sense that you positively heard back from them! When I chased them up they said "please bear with us or something cos we have lots of things to do and the firm's quite short-staffed"
I applied to BCLP for a direct TC in Jan, but I haven't heard anything ever since, although others did on VS apps. Has anyone been processed onto the next app stage for a TC application? Thanks
My respect for this, but the more I hear about these stories, the more I am thinking what's happening in the recruiters' heads lol; I mean, it's obvious that if someone gets through the next stage he/she "deserves" it (open to interpretation), but it contradicts the things HR's dep is looking...
For those waiting to hear from Sidley - just spoke with HR, they've said that no news doesn't mean we've been rejected. They might not have reached the app yet or made a decision. If we're unsuccessful, they won't make the candidates wait. So no news is (hopefully) good news
I applied last fortnight for Dechert and haven't heard anything... about Debevoise, I think we gotta wait at least 1 week since they started reviewing the apps after the deadline (5th Dec). The same goes for Skadden whose deadline was 12th Dec.
