    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

What would you advise a non-law graduate do starting September? Sign up for the GDL/LPC route, or try and find an SQE prep course? Would an SQE prep course give a non-law student enough knowledge to pass SQE1? Thanks

I would do it, just to keep the option open for as long as possible :)

I might be wrong, but I think @Jedward87 was saying that they were mixed race?

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

I've arranged a call with a firm post-PFO to discuss my interview feedback. While I'm really grateful the firm is taking the time to do this, I am also really nervous! Is there anyone else who has had this experience, and would you possibly be able to put my mind at ease? I hope that they're not...

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

V & E rejection post-interview. Not surprised, was my first ever interview and pretty awful. Still can't help feeling a little gutted though as this was my last VAC app of the season. Onto TC apps now I guess. P.S. Not sure if I can face arranging a phone call for my feedback?! 😅

I think I would try and call them back! Or they might try again soon/send an email instead? :) (Was this V & E?)

    SQE - general discussion

Hi there, just wondering if anyone can confirm/provide any suggestions on the following: Am I right in thinking that if I sign up for the GDL this summer and begin in September, that I can then do the normal route of GDL/LPC/TC? For context, I am a non-law student who will graduate this summer...

I had my interview on Thursday (I think that was the last day?) and all they said was that I would find out 'next week'. They didn't specify today, and they said to email if I haven't heard anything by the end of the week :)

I just got this too, seems likely a very strangely worded PFO?!

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

I know it's hard, but try not to be disheartened. In many ways, I feel the same, I have the same grades, go to a fantastic university where I'm likely to graduate with a first, and like to think I've got some colourful and valuable extra-curricular experiences. However, unfortunately, sometimes...

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

Just had the most awful interview experience. It was my first ever interview, and I just flopped. You know when the words that leave your mouth don't match up to the ones in your head? The interviewers were lovely but I just felt sorry for them to be honest for having to listen to my waffle...

    Questions for interviewers

I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the best questions FOR interviewers? (i.e. when you get the chance to ask questions at the end of an interview.)
