If the application questions are exactly the same and are competency based i.e. nothing related to the firm or your motivations would you advise using the same answers?
I was rejected post interview for the application and I've since gained a lot more legal work experience so my application...
Hi
I've noticed on the FAQ section of the Hogan Lovells graduates page it states 'Students are only able to apply to the firm twice (excluding first year applications).'
Does this mean that, as a graduate, I can apply more than twice?
Thanks
That's pretty much how I ended up getting my paralegal job.
I had no prior paralegal experience and I hadn't completed the LPC and I applied for a full time admin position in the conflicts/AML department of the firm - they chose someone with more experience for the permanent role but offered me...
I used to work in the conflicts/AML department of the firm I'm at now and I'd say the most important competencies to expect questions on are attention to detail and communication skills. I personally didn't get any technical questions. As you'll have to communicate with all types of fee-earners...
Yeah it was - I always pass the application stage but frustratingly never make it pass the VI which I made a real effort to prepare for.
I think I will send them an email, I've got nothing to lose anyway. Thanks for your help.
Bristows rejection post-VI for the 3rd year running :( would really like to know what I'm doing wrong but the rejection email says they can't offer individual feedback at this stage.
Hi :)
Well done to all of you to making it to interview stage - I've got a video interview with Bristows and as this will be my 3rd attempt, I was wondering whether anyone had any tips? I'm aware that partners review the video interviews so I was wondering whether that means I should be more...
Got invited to an AC at Taylor Wessing - any tips would be much appreciated!
I went to the Open Day so I have an idea of what the presentation task would be like.
I got the same email! I'm gutted as I got a similar email last year saying they didn't have space to interview me so apply early next cycle - so that's what I did this time round (applied early October).
I also know someone who applied 10 days after me but got invited to the WG etc earlier and...
I definitely struggled with writing an answer. I took it as them wanting to get to know you as an individual but I also made sure I mentioned a few things I'd gained from it e.g. one of my interests is foreign cinema so I said how it made me think creatively and encouraged critical thinking - I...
Hi,
For the question about spare time interests I've only managed to write 3,000 characters so 500 words. I feel like if I write anything else it won't be as good quality/I would be writing for the sake of it.
Do you think this would still be too far away from the 4,000 character limit?
I...
Hi,
I have a question about another part of the application form. It is as follows:
Please detail any activities and achievements below, making sure to include the dates in which these took place. If it was a one-off award or something similar please choose the same start and end date to...
