My two cents, does it matter? And if it does matter to a firm, then shame on them.
I just don't think it should be something people worry about. Work hard, do your best in studies, build up your profile and be good to each other
Yeah they posted encouraging people to apply a day before I received my heartbreaking email lol
What I will say it is, it is a US firm and they do have to follow what's told from their head offices.
This will apply for all your applications, but you never know what a law firm's business...
Just received a Watson Glaser test for Fladgate. 🥰
Boys n' girls, I've been doing these for years that I swear I've tackled the same questions multiple times. However I still go over Assessment Day's practice papers
Before I get asked, I applied on the deadline (31 January)
Re. Katten. I've been questioning whether or not to disclose this. Admins, do let me know if I should delete!
I attended Katten's Vacation Scheme last summer and they didn't offer any TCs because they wanted an in-office assessment. After spending months reassuring us a follow-up scheme would...
Umm not sure how to answer that question, except with yes it absolutely is common! I'm 23, got my first couple of VS after graduating. I'm sure there are tons of people in the same boat in this forum. Also the average age of someone starting a TC is 27/28
Have an open mind! Looking back when...
I don't recommend it! However, every app has been tailored, I've been in contact with staff at the firms I've applied to and I've tried to draft each of them with care.
I work full-time as a Paralegal, I'm an LPC grad, had one Vac Scheme cancelled last year and my other Vacation Scheme decided...
I did not. I know someone who attended the Vac Scheme last year and got offered a TC. I was told they also didn't receive a confirmation email but they got their invite to invite February last year
I appreciate this and totally agree!
If anything, it just teaches me how not to treat people trying to work their way up. Cannot wait to get that opportunity where I can give back to people in my position now
This has nothing directly to do with Vacation Scheme/Training Contract applications, rather applications in general just want to outlet this.
I was contacted by a large company who were recruiting for an in-house Paralegal. I was invited to interview, it went well, then he told me of the next...
Hahaha too true!
Yeah I'm waiting to hear back from 9 firms (some of those have given a later-date when they'll start reviewing). I've done these 9 applications around working full-time so this hasn't been a healthy application period
