Did it say you had som good responses but there were areas you could improve on? Surely if you excelled and did well in other areas you should be fine? I’m saying that because I got that response for organisation, adaptability and collaboration so I’m hoping it doesn’t ruin my chances
I think the key thing about telling a story is thinking about the skills you used and developed during your work experience and explain why that led to you seeking a career in commercial law and how those skills can be applied to being commercial lawyer at A&O. An example would be if you worked...
For the A&O work experience is worth having a section how that experience helped to develop your commercial awareness I am afraid to add that in because I am not sure if that is what they are looking for in that section.
Most law firms also ask for a cover letter that is supposed to be a page long but A&O do not, so I am not sure if we are supposed to compensate with the amount of detail we put into the work experience section. Also during the virtual insight meeting graduate recruitment stress that there is no...
Any who is doing the application for the A&O Shearman vac scheme, how long are you making your work experience section. I know there is no word limit but I am not sure how much is too much. For reference mine is currently 6 pages.

I know!!! Anyways on to the next. Does anyone know if it is worth applying to Evershed Sutherland through the Direct training contract route? Also would it be worth applying to Stephenson and Harwood if recruit in a rolling basis and application deadline ends in July?
another question, is it worth applying for the Direct TC with Stephenson Harwood. They recruit on a rolling basis and it is quite close to deadline - July 31st ?
Is it worth me applying for a Freshfields and White and Case Direct TC if I have never done a vacation scheme and have no prior work experience in law.
I received a 1st class at university and I have a lot of work experience having worked full time whilst studying but I just feel like even...
Maybe everyone who applied gets individual feedback so even though it’s likely a pfo it’s still taking long. However, I think they should really send a blanket rejection email to put everyone out of their misery then just give the individual feedback at a later date.
I am waiting too not sure why others would be offered AC ‘s last month yet they wait so long to pfo those unsuccessful? They said they aim to get back to applicants by 24th of May so we will probably get it by next week.
The block one was horrible and I cant gauge how I did on the others because it would all go so quickly. With the proof reading I could not possibly get all the mistakes that were listed in the time.
