My advice if you are applying for vacation schemes - check the VS to TC conversion rate.

Trainees will typically complete at least one seat in the commercial team (one of their largest departments) and commonly IP. A contentious seat is mandatory. Seat options will also include corporate, regulatory & competition, finance, construction & real estate, employment and few others.

Assuming you get decent grades, the main reason why people end up unemployed (in my humble opinion) is that they don't really know what they want to pursue. Regardless of what you go into, make sure you spend ample time in university attending careers events and applying for internships/graduate...
