    This may just be my computer but the TCLA logo overlaps the community link. There also appears to be two community links on the menu (not sure if that was intended). I recognise that this is probably a useless bit of feedback

    Preparing for the SQE

    As stated above, revise your underlying law (criminal, trusts, land, tort and contract) as much as possible. This is about 50% of the exam and won't be taught in your preparation course. There is very little time to study everything and so getting that head start is incredibly useful.

    This reminds me of my first written exercise... I finished the first half in an excellent manner, only to find out I had no time (literally) for the second half. It was also sadly the first part of the AC so I had no motivation to perform well for the case study and interview.

    A feature that could improve engagement on the forum is having a drop down list which shows the thread's: Top posts (based on likes/replies) Most controversial posts 'hottest' posts (most likes/replies in the past week) This suggestion is definitely not based on reddit's features

    @Pheebs22 I was rejected after 9 ACs before I got my first VS. The truth is, I didn't perform well enough each of those times (despite thinking I did great everytime). There are two conclusions to draw from your situation. a) You have been unlucky: there may be some truth to this, but it is not...

    I passed SQE1 and let me just say DAMN that was hard. I had to work my socks off for that. Hate to say it but getting a TC now is just half the work. Passing the SQE is basically the other half.

    Advice for my son

    Really depends on what he wants ultimately. If being a lawyer is his goal - then keep at it I guess. In terms of funding the SQE, it may be more advantageous to hold off and have a law firm sponsor it.

    A fun addition to forums would be to add a poll feature! Could be very engaging because often people do not like posting on forums and so being able to vote on a poll would be a better way to participate for them.
