People who have attained higher WG scores than others have not been progressed whereas the person with a lower score did. A holistic view is taken of both the CAPP assessment and WG. Also, they are very secretive about what their benchmarks are - I have tried asking before.

Just received a video interview from Willkie after applying on 26/11. Very quick response time!
Each firm's quartile benchmark varies - some by quite a bit. Just practice and get as good as you can. The actual score out of 40 isn't the only scoring mechanism. Time (at some firms) and question difficulty are also factors.
I know the feeling - had the same last cycle. I'm pretty sure their threshold is quite high though compared to other firms!
