Hey Guest, do you have a question for graduate recruitment? Gemma Baker from Willkie is live to answer your questions!
Rather than focusing on a 'practice group' I focused on their Regulatory & Public Policy practice (although i did heavily reference their sector expertise in tech and energy). Do you think that's too vague/doesn't answer the question or do you reckon it's fine?Whenever approaching questions like this, I always made sure I was targeting a practice group that was very strong at the firm, to show my interest in that particular field and the firm itself. I think they mean technology group, white collar crime group, life sciences group, I remember that these are some of the practice groups Covington excels at, so I would make sure to tackle on of them. Hope that helps! @Ali A
Why commercial law & Mishcon, 'tell us a time you demonstrated being a shaper', topic you'd like to discuss at interviewWould anyone mind sharing Mischon de Reya's application questions? I have heard they are quite odd and would like to double-check before starting to apply
Oh my lord that is so little time!!There was only one date available for me!! Next Friday, 20 Oct. I think they just allocate you a slot😅 because I didn't have the option to choose another date. However, I'm not sure if this is the same for everyone. (maybe others could choose)
I believe the available date might also depend on when you receive your invitation. If you receive the invitation next week, the earliest available date could be the following week. This is just my personal opinion.
Like a lot of these things, it really depends in the context of how you are saying it and in response to the specific wording of the question.Random question - would it be bad to mention in an interview that you know and are friendly with the managing partner of a firm even if they have had 0 input into your application and have got to the interview entirely on your own. Knowing this person has helped me develop an interest of the firm and given me a true picture so surely it's not seen as a negative?
Be interested to know this too. Still waiting to hear back one way or another.Has Ashurst sent out all their AC invites now?
I think they've sent their first batch and they're doing the interview I think this week or next week. I think they'll end up inviting based on the first batch performances I believe - I am not sure thoughBe interested to know this too. Still waiting to hear back one way or another.
I saw somewhere on this forum that the Ashurst grad rec team is still reviewing applications and waiting to allocate AC slots for their WVS. They confirmed this at the legal cheek law fair on tuesday. Its likely that they will be contacting candidates w/ AC invites/ rejections until the 10th Nov as they mentioned in their email (dated 3rd Oct) that they aim to get in touch with candidates no later than the 10th Nov with the outcome of their application. Don't give up hope yet!Be interested to know this too. Still waiting to hear back one way or another.
They said it’s facilitated by a member of HRDoes anyone know if the Ashurst online case study assessment is a live interview with a real person from HR, or just a recorded online assessment?
It’s run by HR, but you turn your camera off and do the case study and then email it to them at the endDoes anyone know if the Ashurst online case study assessment is a live interview with a real person from HR, or just a recorded online assessment?
I reckon it is fine, I would not worry too much, in my opinion it does answer the question and it shows your interests and that you also did your research on the firm!Rather than focusing on a 'practice group' I focused on their Regulatory & Public Policy practice (although i did heavily reference their sector expertise in tech and energy). Do you think that's too vague/doesn't answer the question or do you reckon it's fine?
Still waiting myself. I passed the online assessment.Does anyone know if HSF have sent out all their AC invites?
