I read that around 36 get vac schemes and 20 get TCs but not sure.

For HL WG when they say the passing mark is 18 percentile does that mean you need to get more than 18% or in the top 18%?

It means you are in the top 82% of candidates you are being benchmarked against.

For people who have attended ACs - how long is the Why X firm answer supposed to be? Is 3-3.5 minutes considered to be too long? This is for a one hour long competency/general interview!

I don't remember how long my answers were, but breaking it down rather than saying it as one long reason definitely helps. For example, there are three main reasons why I am drawn to this firm. Firstly... etc'

congratulations! what do you think made you most prepared for the interview?

I think it really was just about focusing on common sense answers rather than pretending to have technical knowledge that I didn’t. I also think looking through the different courses on TCLA was super helpful!

Their spring scheme is next week so I would imagine they will start focusing on the summer schemes shortly. I wouldn’t be concerned that you haven’t heard anything yet - i’m fairly certain all the previous interviews were only for spring 👍

If you just mean sending a LinkedIn message, I think it’s fine. If they’re busy they just won’t reply yet, and also they’ll understand that everyone has different schedules so the weekend might be the only time you’re not drowning in the office etc and therefore the only time you can actually message them!

You can message them, but personally I’d wait until Monday - you are more likely to get a response.

LinkedIn messages can easily be forgotten.

Congrats, when was your AC?

i had my AC on Thursday and received an offer on Friday. at the AC they said that they will start getting back to everyone on Monday, so don’t stress if you haven’t heard back! Think they have just given out some offers yesterday but definitely not all.

When a question has a 250-word limit for why X firm, Is two reasons enough? I find it hard to give 3 reasons because I want to develop each point I make.
