I was rejected from a firms vacation scheme post application but my application for their open day was successful.

Not too strange. A lot of people don't apply to Open Days as they don't come across them. More laser focus on the actual VS apps

How soon does BCLP respond after the interview?

It's been a week now so expecting a PFO as AC invites seem to be 2-3 days later

I only had my first interview with Grad rec yesterday so they're probs still getting back to people for the next stage

Sorry to hear but this happens way more often than you think. Happened to me this year with Mayer Brown. I think generally it's because the standard is higher for a VS app than an Open day one.

Hi, it was an invite to an insight day - he said they were doing direct TCs this year but I think they’re still doing vac schemes too? Not fully sure, waiting for an email to confirm it!

Think it depends on the firm to be honest! Some hold multiple open days, and some advertise theirs more than others.
