I am currently answering this question Why are you interested in pursuing a career at Herbert Smith Freehills and what skills, qualities and attributes would you bring to the role? I just need to write the last 50 words but it seems that my brain is not responding.

I would like to link some of my qualities to the firm's multiculturalism and diversity. Suggestions?

You could discuss any international experiences you have had? Or your diverse background?

Speaking from experience, I would avoid talking about diversity, inclusion or the culture of the firm when it comes to discussing “Why HSF”.

Go ahead and talk about the work that firm does/did, your encounters with its people, its awards and legal standing, its global strategy etc.

I would only talk about diversity, multiculturalism and culture etc if you’ve actually been to the firm and witnessed this. Even with this, a sentence would do.

I personally spoke about diversity in my application and got through to assessment centre. But you're right, I had been to the firm before and backed it up.

A scenario in which I would say to not necessarily rule it out is when diversity/inclusion defines the firm or they define themselves that way . I'd say Linklaters do this heavily for example. But I did it with HSF because one of their slogans on their brochure literally was about inclusivity. They kept repeating it in their material which gave me the confidence to say, they must care about it, therefore my attraction to them on that basis is strong.

I agree with you and I do believe that diversity/inclusion define HSF. Moreover, I went to their event "Multiculturalism in the city" and had a feeling that multiculturalism and diversity define the firm. I think that I will talk about being a volunteer at Diversity role models and how I explain to the kids why it is important to accept people LGBTQ people and those who have different backgrounds.

If you went to that event, even better! Remember to be concise and to the point, since this is essentially a quarter of the question (I had two separate points for why hsf and two for why I'd be a good lawyer). To caveat my point further, don't make diversity the one and only reason why you're applying to a firm, same goes for something like pro bono where it's nice to have but it's not what makes them money. There should be something more commercial to your second point I think.
