What's the general consensus on name-dropping? For example, if I spoke to a particular partner, who hosted a presentation evening, is it worth mentioning their name?

there are some post about it here. Really depends on the context. If you are just name dropping for the sake of it though, it’s generally awful

Thank you, but it was my dream firm & I won’t be able to apply until next year. I really thought my application was strong, and I didn’t think the threshold for the test was that high so I must’ve done really bad on it.
