Is 600 words ok or too long for a Paralegal cover letter? It can fit within 1 page with a font size 11.

I've seen many articles online recommending a 400 word length so I'm worried, but 400 words seems too short to cover why this firm, why this role and why me.

I think as long as it is no more than one page, this is fine.

Just don't overcrowd the page. Sometimes people write very long paragraphs or narrow margins too much and the document can just look very crowded and more difficult to read. Generally, I would expect 600 words to be about right though.

I believe this is fine. My cover letters have typically been within a 450-650 word limit. Another thing is to always ensure clarity when you can. So, if there are some parts which could be clarified better, or stated in fewer words by avoiding the use of over-flowery language, then this could be another avenue to cut down the words.
