Hi,
I started the LPC in 2021 and unfortunately due to health problems had to take a break and defer most of my examinations. I focused on getting better and got back into my part-time role I was doing before, which then became full-time, and have only this year been planning to finish my LPC studies. Disregarding any discussions on fees, I have been contemplating dropping the LPC to do the SQE instead, as the LPC seems to be becoming increasingly redundant. What makes this even more complicated however, is the fact I have to resit 2 electives (I was not able to sit them the first time and was not granted a concession).
I had a couple of questions on this:
1) In an application question asking whether I have had to resit any exams, would I have to mention the 2 resits, even if I drop the course and pursue the SQE instead?
2) Even if I don't have to disclose this on an application, is this something that would appear in a background check?
Thank you!
