Just to update everyone, I don't know if this is relevant to direct TC apps but those on the first scheme are finding out whether they got a TC or not on Friday or early next week. They might be filtering through direct TC apps before the next scheme that starts in mid-July.
Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew if it is possible to issue bonds and have them publicly traded without being listed on the stock exchange.
I saw online that its possible to become a plc without doing an IPO but would this prevent us from issuing bonds to the public on the debt...
Its up to you to decide how much you want to slide! It depends on how much you agree with the statement. The Capp report is sent automatically but you have to request the WG report! Hope this helps!
Thank you for the advice! I think I'll go with ULaw because even tho the BPP option is shorter it seems to be very intense to have everything done by April
Hello everyone! I am currently stuck between choosing the PGDL at BPP and the GDL at ULaw. If anyone has any advice on which would be best that'd be great! I am an international student from a non-UK university so I am leaning towards doing it online but I am not too sure yet. The PGDL seems...
Yes, it did! I'm set to start their summer vac scheme at the end of June. So if you have any other questions about LL let me know I'd be more than happy to help!
I forgot to answer that part of the qs: I practised for 3 days before I took the test (I didn't have the time to practice more) and I...
So to practice the WG I did not get the paid practice tests. I only used the free resources available online, I googled "Free WG practice" and just practised from every link I can find. I eventually got 77% on the official one with LL. I think the key is to understand the reasoning. its not...
To add to what Alice said, they definitely put more weight on the Capp assessment. Some got an AC invite with a 50% but others didn't even tho they had an 85% so don't stress too much about it but do your best of course!
The Capp assessment consists of 7 different modules each based on a different "deal/situation". Its an SJT: you basically are given a scenario with different options and you have to rank what you would do (e.g. your friend is struggling with a task but ur given a new task by ur principal, would...
Hey everyone!
I just wanted to know if there's anyone that did the GDL online. If I were to get a TC this summer, would I be able to do my GDL online or would the firm expect us to attend physical classes?
Thank you!!
hey! So the questions are scenario-based there isn’t much to prepare for and since it’s not timed you can take your time to answer them. At the end of it there’s a critical thinking bit that’s just like the Watson Glaser. The only possible advice I can give is to just check their AGILE mindset...
Linklaters sent an update: the scheme will be 2 weeks long but we will be paid for 3. There will be seminars and we will be assigned to 2 different seats as planned with a trainee buddy and a principal. We will be assessed based on general feedback, graded project-based tasks and the final TC...
One last piece of advice I would have for people applying to Linklaters. It might sound very basic but when you're answering/ranking the different actions as part of the SJ test bear in mind their Agile mindset framework. They have a pretty detailed account of what each category entails on their...
