ah thank you!!
yes, they only allow you to share the news (including with people at the firm) once you've gotten the go ahead after everyone else has been informed of their outcome. I had to wait till Monday evening to cancel an AC which was scheduled for today 😬
So happy to say that I accepted a TC offer right before Christmas 🥳🥳 A huge thanks to TCLA for the support over the last two years ❤️
NGL was so tempted to tell you guys earlier because we've been in this together but wasn't allowed to share the news.
Hey,
Maybe consider emailing them?
I asked for adjustments as well and they did get back to me in a day but I know sometimes they miss the email. I hope emailing would mean you get to atleast have a fair shot. If not, you know it wasn't the right firm for you and you can focus your energy...
I kind of second this. The lego and nap comments made me feel less insane for trying to get back to colouring/making puzzles like we all used to as kids
(god i feel old having typed this)
might not sound too helpful but there's also only one of you and the firm you end up getting a TC with will recognise that and value you for what you bring to the table (or so i keep telling myself to stop myself from spiralling)
Just to add to the amazing advice given by others - you could try setting fake deadlines and noting them down as the actual deadlines as a safety net.
When you start working on the applications, you'll likely forget those are fake. I've done this multiple times for all sorts of things and it...
Hi,
I'm not them but I thought I'll share my thoughts on this because this is something that I struggle with as well.
I approach these questions in a few steps -
1. Reflect on my experiences and see what I learnt from them/what skills I developed.
2. Relate these to the tasks of a trainee...
Thank you @Andrei Radu for answering this in a detailed manner!! I appreciate this because I spent hours overthinking if I was approaching this wrong and if others were talking about something completely different that was not on my radar rather than discussing these creatively.
Hi @Andrei Radu and @Abbie Whitlock,
I was wondering how you would go about answering a question like "What are 3 challenges and 3 opportunities that you believe the legal industry is likely to face in coming years?"
I have answered this question in the past multiple times but was just looking...
That is quite odd.
In the past, the maximum I have been asked to do is confirm if I was provided reasonable adjustments even at uni.
I think providing a screenshot of the conclusion paragraph should be fine because that in itself is proof of your neurodiversity.
Hi guys,
Quick question - I was recording the VI for NRF and someone in my building decided to start work and bang a rope against my window. This was very audible in my VI responses so I waited and took longer than necessary to respond to the questions and even re-recorded one. This made me...
I'd say given you have options - its completely up to you!
I'd shoot my shot regardless because I assume given they haven't gotten back to anyone yet there's still a chance
Hi,
I'm not sure how helpful this might be for you. While I agree with everyone else and usually vacation schemes do not sponsor visas, there are a few US based firms which sponsor visas for vacation schemes for successful international applicants. You would need to research and make a list of...
same. I heard back today letting me know that they no longer have places for the day and that we could apply to another one they plan to host further into the application cycle.
