Thank you for answering questions on the forum! @ReedSmithBecca would you still encourage applicants who are looking to apply to Reed Smith this close to the deadline?
I heard back yesterday and have been invited to a voice interview, but then I did apply back in October and did the test in November.
Just be aware that they only give you 72 hours to complete the VI.
Just to bring this back. Any advice for the time to take for preparation on a VI where there is no limit?
Is 15 minutes ok for each question? Just thinking of that as a maximum.
Hey all, how do you approach video interviews with no time limit for the preparation of each question?
Is 15-mins thinking about each question before answering probably a good balance?
I notice the firm say no time limit, but not that the preparation period is untimed.
Thank you!
There’s been some VIs for regional offices on here but not heard anyone say anything about London yet, except some PFOs very quickly after the deadline.
Hi @Jessica Booker or anyone who can help.
I want to use the rare word ‘intrapreneurial’ in one of my law applications but All Hires is not recognising it as a word, and have put a red squiggly line beneath it.
If I use this word, am I risking the law firm thinking I’ve misspelt...
Maybe. I know some people did receive WGs after applying on the deadline, don’t know if these are London though. I applied 5 days before.
All I know is my CMS application was a lot better than last year but didn’t get through for some reason.
There are a range of free tools on the internet that will ‘scan’ your application answers for ‘AI’. One is GPTZero. I don’t know how accurate/reliable these are but you could always run future answers through one of these to check its not flagging AI material.
CMS PFO post-app.
I got the WG last year and my application was less tailored and not as good.
Maybe they don’t consider you a second time/got too many apps this year?
Looking back it took my 10 days last year before I got the WG.
I think they do screen beforehand, but maybe the different speeds are to do with the offices people are applying for?
