If you applied for the WVS or SVS and got PFO post app, then you can re-apply for the DTC in the same application cycle.
However, if you made it to the VI or AC stage, I don’t think you are allowed to re-apply for their DTC in this application cycle. 🥲
I can’t believe I’m writing this but I managed to convert my 2nd VS into a TC offer! In addition, I converted both of my DTC ACs into TC offers, meaning I now hold 4 US firm TC offers! 😅
At the beginning of this application cycle, I did not think I had what it takes to secure a single TC...
It seems like it’s an anomalous grade that isn’t indicative of your academic ability. Since all of the other modules are strong 2:1 and 1st class marks, it shouldn’t be a huge problem. 🥲
Most firms ask for an end-of-year 2:1 average as opposed to a 2:1 in every module. A handful of firms like...
I think W&C is non-rolling for the DTC and their deadline is Sunday (13th July). I imagine they’ll invite candidates to DTC ACs in late July and August. Best of luck with your application to W&C and the other firms listed! 😅
Most applications (VS/DTC) will open in Aug/Sept each year, but with varying deadlines. WVS’ applications tend to open in Aug/Sept and close in Sept/Oct. SVS applications open in Sept/Oct and close in Dec/Jan. Some firms have later deadlines in Feb/March (SH and PH). 😅
Some firms have multiple...
I’m not sure which document you are referring to specifically, but I came across this one from a TCLA thread a while ago: 😀

I think making mistakes is inevitable on a VS. It would defeat the purpose of a TC entirely if the firm expected otherwise. If someone was able to complete all their work with zero mistakes, they could be hired as an NQ instead. 🥲
I made some mistakes during my Spring VS and even now during the...
I think normally firms are happy to extend the acceptance deadlines, but it depends on many factors. Some firms don’t offer extensions and so the original deadline remains. 🥲
In that case, you could accept the TC offer and if you convert the SVS into a TC, accept it and renege on the original...
Their FAQ section says only one application is allowed per recruitment cycle, so if you already applied for the VS, you can’t apply for the DTC in this cycle. 🥲

Thank you for everything you have done for all of us on TCLA over the past six years. You are genuinely an absolute superstar! 🥳
Thank you so much for helping so many of us achieve our dreams of pursuing a career in the legal profession and in city law! 😅

I think only finalists and graduates can apply for the legal business analyst (LBA) role, which is a form of permanent employment. Anyone who is not a finalist or graduate is not eligible to apply for the LBA role. They can apply for the Perkins Coie Summer VS instead. 😅
Have you considered taking an alternative kind of approach to applications i.e., not playing the numbers game but making fewer, more tailored applications, targeting a select few firms you have a strong interest in (10-15 firms)?
Some firms receive close to 5,000 applications each recruitment cycle. They have to draw the line somewhere to get the numbers down and make TC offers. It’s impossible for a firm to do this without ‘discriminating’ against someone. I think firms try to mitigate this with contextual recruitment...
The FAQ section seems to suggest they assess applications holistically, so won’t automatically screen out candidates that don’t meet their A-level criteria of ABB. 🙂
