Are you international as in non-European or from Europe but not UK? PGDL should be fine if you’re European (visa is different), if you’re not, I wouldn’t self fund either masters or pgdl for UK. I did my bachelors from UK and went back home. I have met many LLM graduates (LSE and QMUL) who...
Hi did you use the full 500 words for each question for BCLP application? My current word count for each question is around 400 I am wondering if that would look bad?
first stage test: verbal reasoning test + SJT test: automatic for everyone. Grad rec takes days/weeks to send out the test email so don’t worry if it takes time. I got the link after like 3 weeks.
Second stage test: simulation life at Mayer brown: if you pass tests above, you get email, again...
Hi, I will give my experience applying as someone who graduated with a LLB from UK but is from India.
I have met 3-4 year associates from India who transferred to UK but mainly in international arbitration at firms like Milbank and Stewarts.
Applying for mentoring programs at Global Access and...
Editing my comment cause I didn‘t read your post fully.
I think the answer is tricky, generally for people who have the grades fall back on something else: application writing, work experience writing, test performance, networking with law firm.
Even if you did not make it past HSF, I feel...
Bit of odd question, I am doing the video interview course on TCLA as well. Does anyone know any videos/link showing a successful video interview answer? I am confused by the 1 minute time limit for CMS vi, I don’t think I will be able to mention 3 points in any answer like why law why firm etc...
I haven’t done it, but the provider is amberjack. Amberjack does the same blended thing for Simmons i did it last year. Mixture of SJT, verbal reasoning and numerical reasoning and they added VI this year. Case study like you read emails or articles can’t remember much. I would practise...
Hi idk if you have searched already, it is cognify, emotify and values. search cognify ibm and you fill find it, same test basically. Worse than arctic shores for me. Cognify is super time pressured, that’s all I remember it was months ago.
I didn‘t pass the application stage, but the app questions are 2 and reasonable to write on. The catch is the arctic shores like other person mentioned, you will have to practise and understand that logic because it’s not like doing a verbal reasoning test at all. If i still want a tc next...
I got a low 2:1, 60%, I am only applying to firms that have no academic requirements. I applied to 2:1 firms for winter vacation scheme and realised attending recruitment events they want mid 2:1, 64-65ish at least when they talk about 2:1, so my application was rejected on my grades as I passed...
Holding myself accountable as well.

Ashurst (application done, test done)
NRF (application done, test to do)
HSF (application done, test to do)
Okay thanks. Kind of surprised cause I assumed they look at all applications only after the deadline? That is how I plan my dates of submitting the application by checking if the firm is rolling or not, I haven’t submitted yet
So I would say cognify had 3 parts: shapes (3 games i think) + maths (not just addition but division, minus, multiply at harder level) + english (pointing out spelling/punctuation mistakes in paragraphs)
for all three you need to practise it in timed conditions. Time for all the questions is...
