UPDATE:
i've been feeling down recently and have lacked the motivation to draft applications. i have uni deadlines coming up and i feel quite overwhelmed BUT im pushing through as if i cant handle this, i wouldnt handle being a lawyer. but, i am human and everyone goes through depressing...
I'm so annoyed with Ashurst for this. I would tell them off directly if I were an heiress of a multi-million-pound business, but for now, I will rant about them here lmao
this is exactly how i feel. i've been looking at compliance and risk too. i really want a role at a private equity firm but ik how hard it is especially if you're not from a finance background.
thanks for your support! i'm still thinking of v&e.
Thank you, Andrei! I can see why you passed the application stage. It really helps to see successful answers, and this has truly helped me with how to write my application.
hi, i hope you guys are good. i wanted to ask if there is anyone who passed the app stage with willkie, skadden, goodwin, weil or watson farley that could tell me what they think made their app successful, maybe with an example sentence if that's okay? i believe my apps are better this cycle but...
ANOTHER UPDATE:
forgot to say i've changed my list lol. i'm going to forget i ever applied to the previous 7 firms and will be applying on a clean slate. (just let me be delusional)

thank you, i appreciate your words! good luck to you, i've changed my list and will be reposting that so message me if you want to talk about anything :)
UPDATE:
*massive sigh*
applied to 7 firms and guess what... been rejected from all 7. massive dent in my confidence but i'm working my way back up. they've all required an online exam so it's clear where my issue is. i'm not too upset because 5/7 i applied to because i thought why not... but...
It's honestly annoying how they've already rejected people but haven't informed them. I don't like that firms/companies do this, just send me your silly generic rejection email, it's not like they personalise each email anyway.
Hi all, thank you for taking the time to speak to us today! I am a final-year student at a non-RG and I have three questions, each with a follow-up.
Firstly, Do you think the firm is good at recruiting associates from different types of backgrounds? What type of affinity groups are you involved...
For the Taylor Wessing CL, I wanted to talk about their Venture Capital practice and mention a deal. I found a deal that I'm interested in but it's from 2019 :/ It's highlighted to be the largest-ever fundraising in the digital health sector and of course that stood out to me. Should I still...
UPDATE:
still need to do nrf arctic shores test and idk what's stopping me.
i've made a priority list for each firm and glad to say that only 3 are high priority rn.
i wasn't too sure about weil at first but i'm going to apply because why not? they're very strong in PE and i'm interested in...
