Could you tell us about your US secondment? In which part of the US was it, and were you advising on US or UK law? How would you compare and contrast working in a BigLaw firm in the US vs the UK? Was it worthwhile?
It was very conversational - just a 40 minute discussion on my application form (educational background, work experiences) with the graduate recruitment team. It was more like a chat than an interview and was actually quite enjoyable! Good luck!
Hi all, I've been invited to a second stage interview! This will be a partner interview which will include a discussion on a news article and a general discussion on my application. If anyone has any tips I'd be very grateful!
I completed my WG on 29/12 and was invited to complete the VI on 6/1. I haven't done it yet so I'm not sure how long they give us for each question. I'll let you know once I have!
Update: coincidentally, my portal updated to "Submission Status: Completed - Updated 7-Jan-2020" today. Not quite sure what this means, as I still haven't been contacted by Grad Rec..

Thank you Dan! I applied on the 18th of December and heard back on the 20th. I am pretty sure there is another round after the initial one (or else why would they call it a 'first stage' interview)! Judging from the interview experiences on TCLA I guess there's a second round commercial...
Hi all, I have a first stage interview with Gibson Dunn coming up, and I was wondering if anyone who has interviewed with them before has any insights/advice? It's an interview with HR and apparently is a general interview based on my application.
Thanks!!

I was wondering where to list Open Days/events at law firms in a CV? Under their own heading?
Also, would it be OK to compile positions of responsibility and volunteering experience under one single heading?
Hi @Jessica Booker , I had a question about Linklaters' TC application form. We are only allowed to include 3 work experience entries, and I am not sure what to prioritise: an entry on 10 open days/workshops at commercial law firms (including one at Linklaters), or a month-long law-related (but...
