I got the invite and was told it would be online due to train strikes. I don’t think it’s a case of not being successful enough for in person as they would have probably said in the email that they would like to move you specifically to the online one.
I’ve received a Reed Smith Open day invite but it clashes with another open day that the deadline to pull out of has passed.
They have a virtual open day, would I be able to ask to be transferred to the virtual one? Would this look bad to the firm?
Is there any point applying to a from in which you’ve been rejected for thier open day? Because surely there’s a higher threshold for vacation schemes? Has any one experienced this?
How long do we get to answer for the Simmons VI part of the assessment? trying to practice and it would be nice to know what time limits to set for myself!
If I am applying to a firm that has a strong IP practice would it be worth mentioning that I took it as a module even though it was my worst one of the year (2.2). I am interested in IP but I don't know how it would come across seeing as I didn't do too well in the module at uni?

If an application question asks 'Why are you attracted to the firm' should you not mention your interest in commercial law at all? or just jumpy straight to why the firm alone?
