I had the final round interview this time last year.
I found it much more intense than the first (which I thought was relatively straight forward). Really try and let your personality shine through despite difficult questions you might get asked (don't let these throw you). They want to learn...
A&O Winter VS rejection came through today via email. Applied on 21st Sept and passed SJT the day after. Best of luck to those still awaiting a response!
This is interesting. My experience differed greatly and I don’t say that pejoratively.
Legacy notes were useless for me. I had to learn it myself, because I struggled with the examples below. I found the LPC being about how to think, not what to think.
I worked through the LPC purely based...
A heads up for those awaiting a response from Macs, I have just seen (what I think to be) the first direct TC offer from the first virtual assessment centre just come up on my LinkedIn. I have been out of the TCLA and LinkedIn loop for some time due to work, so please correct me if I've missed...
I had a 2.2 in first year and final year (eek) but graduated with a first. I managed to get to interview for the direct TC but I was grilled about that 2.2 in year 3.
I also applied to Macs back in May - nothing yet! I did see they ran the first virtual assessment centre before I submitted my application, and I can't say I've seen them run another since (from Instagram anyway). It's likely they've not shortlisted any candidates yet.
Hey!
My recommendation would be to learn more about derivatives as a sole financial products and what they do first (forwards, futures, options and swaps). So all of these products are essentially contracts which operate in different ways but their price and behaviour in the market are derived...
The Hertz case is very interesting. A great moral dilemma arises from this. Should a company controlled by creditors post Chapter 11 filing, be able to issue more equity in order to raise capital? (I'm aware the SEC pulled the plug but consider it anyway)
In this case it's quite clear from the...
Ultimately it will depend on company X and if you're referring to M&A in terms of company X acquiring 100% of company Y, or acquisitions in a broader sense.
Where the company has securities admitted to trading on a regulated market (XLON) then the UK Takeover Panel will oversee bids and merger...
You're not alone, in fact a frighteningly similar position to myself. A 2018 grad, applying since second year with only last cycle being a focused approach with results.
I had my week of 'deflation' last week. Make sure you allow yourself to have some sort of time to step back. I've found that...
I've been in a similar position to this and unfortunately the answer really does depend.
I was interning at a company for a year where there were no opportunities post internship were discussed. It was addressed by my interviewers that I had obviously taken the law path and I made it clear at...
I forgot to update my own thread!! I applied for TS in May 2019, receiving TC interview #1 invite in October, then interview #2 invite a week after. TL;DR - don't give up hope with TS!
Welcome!! I applied for Spring VS in early Dec, got through to WG but unsuccessful after that. I have it on good authority that someone who applied for a direct TC heard back well before I did so I think they do TC AC's first, then Spring VS AC's then Summer VS AC's.
