Yep, I completely agree. It's not exactly selling the firm to me.

You should always assume you haven't got it in a way and keep moving forwards with whatever else you have on, else you're setting yourself up for failure! That's my view anyway. I always just apply, hope for the best and prepare for the worst haha

I've still not heard anything for the summer scheme. Has anyone else?

One more thing, do you recall if you are able to flick back and forth between sections? I'm thinking of just starting now, taking a look, and completing it between now and the weekend if you can..?

Hi, I applied on deadline day so have only just received a notification to complete the test. Was the test fairly intuitive/any general tips? Also, have either of you heard back yet? Thanks!

Thanks. I'm actually yet to do any tests as only recently began my apps, (aiming more for the winter vac schemes). Sounds fairly challenging(?)

Makes sense. It must be harder for them to scrutinise applicants initially though. What sort of tests could I be in for? Yeh, the time saved is great too.

I've spent this evening going through the firms I didn't apply for (with deadlines for today) and compiling a list of all the various VS application questions (just to use as practice). When I got to Mayer Brown, I noticed they were not asking any questions, nor did they request for a cover...

So I received my first rejection today from Morgan Lewis. The rejection didn't hurt, but no feedback does! It's so painful not knowing where they felt you needed to improve so that you can focus on it for other apps.

Does anybody know why some firms like Ropes & Gray don't have a section for work experience in their VS application form?

Can anyone assist with the below question for the R&G VS app? Tia! "What three proposals would you make to the Partnership if you were Chair of Ropes & Gray?"

This is an excellent point and I couldn't agree more. Of course, I have empathy for anyone who is genuinely stressed out by the process. My initial comment merely referred to those who were constantly inquiring as to the position of others. I simply suggested that they focus on themselves to...

Yeah, that's too much. Proofreading is a short exercise that ensures your work is free of errors, you shouldn't be looking to redesign your answer imo.
