Which firms accept both a VS and TC application in the same cycle? I'm not sure if a list exists but if it does and someone could signpost me to it, I would be v grateful :)
From memory I don't think I had the option to choose a second preference. Ok thank you Jaysen, I will email in the morning for clarification.
I think the hardest part is not knowing how many other candidates received a similar email, time will tell...

Clyde & Co also recruit solely through their vac scheme. From their website, "At Clyde & Co we recruit our trainees exclusively via our Vacation Schemes."

As a penultimate year student applying to a firm which does not recruit heavily from their vac scheme, would it be a better idea to apply directly for a TC?
Sorry not the firm but the legal world in general, apply that weakness to being a lawyer/ trainee and how it could be a problem but end with how you are trying to work on the weakness. I always try to sandwich a negative with a positive during an interview situation.
This question requires a very personal response - I always state my weakness, link it back to the firm (to show I've thought about the q), and then how I'm working on this weakness. It's so easy to tell if someone is lying in response to this question and everyone knows they have at least one...
