Re F-Lex: the last I'd heard they had paused their onboarding for a month, which I don't believe is up yet (although I could easily be wrong). More, I was onboarded early May and have yet to hear anything from them. It may simply be the case that I am just not suitable for the roles they...
Earlier in this thread it was mentioned a guide was coming to give some pointers regarding virtual assessments/interviews/vacation schemes. I just wanted to check that it hasn't yet been posted and I haven't missed it?
At an open day HR gave an example of how one of their current trainees didn't even write a cover letter. Instead, they simply stated they had already covered everything in the application. The cover letter is really for anything you ran out of space for in the other sections - they read this...
@Edward J Jones wow, thank you for that! I did not expect anything nearly as comprehensive, you've given me some things to look into and think about. Thanks again!
I have been reading through the guide (outstandingly written!!) and had a question I am hoping someone could clarify for me.
The article points out that banks were sitting pretty happy having repackaged and sold off the mortgages as securities, distancing themselves from the risk. Any money...
Apologies, I'm referring to the conversion interview. Sorry, I'm a bit confused, is there usually much of a difference between the conversion interview and a direct TC interview?
Hi Jessica,
In the event that final assessments for TCs are moved online after the VS is postponed, could you give an opinion as to how that might affect the exit interview? As we don't have the benefit of the two weeks in the firm, so cannot experience the work and culture etc, would it be...
Seems a real shame to deny the other candidates an opportunity to get into the firm at all. It's hard enough to get a vac, to have it essentially revoked would be devastating.
I guess their assessment is that the situation won't have improved by May. It'll start putting pressure on other firms...
There was a thread listing various commercial terms that may come in useful during a case study, but I'm now unable to locate it. Does anyone know where I can find it?
Completely agree with the advice above, particularly concerning the possibility of making applications once you have completely finished with university. There's a constant pressure to have something lined up for once you graduate but there's no harm at all taking a year out to focus on...
It's frustrating as we were finally within reach of that TC but we just need to be patient and continue to look forward to it in the meantime. And tbh, even if it were going ahead I doubt I could fully embrace the experience and all the socials with all that's going on right now.
You can usually find the timings for it somewhere online ie how long you are given to answer. You also tend to be able to find out what category of questions will or won't come up eg commercial/competency/motivational/strengths/situational. Then I like to write out full answers to questions I...
