Are you able to access a template from the firm? I'd ask your supervisor or trainee buddy for their advice on how to structure it. They'll be more than happy to help in my experience :)
Hi Jess,
Yeah I would be inclined to agree with @Adam Gilchrist tbh.
I think if we initially permit the explanation of the structure of various ACs and what the types of different assessments usually involve then that would be a good starting point.
Going all the way to permitting the telling...
That's gonna be expensive! I really feel for the advisors on this deal - so much for the usual quiet August! 45 days to get a deal of this magnitude and complexity over the line is going to be incredibly tough for the accountants, bankers and lawyers involved
Personally, I don't see any problem with it. Be prepared for the email to be ignored but if you can be as specific as possible regarding why you are contacting them and what you are hoping to get out of your interaction e.g. a phone call or an insight day or even a week's work-shadowing then...
Hey Lydia,
I'd imagine these schemes have come because the person is fortunate to have a connection at the firm who was able to facilitate some informal work experience. Sadly, this is what can be an unfair advantage for some candidates because they are able to get impressive experience purely...
Do you play sport? Have you organised a group project/task/presentation? Have you worked in any other jobs that require teamwork? All potential avenues that could demonstrate team working abilities
Very happy anniversary Jess! It's been great to have you as a part of the forum over this past year and I'm excited to work with you and see the fantastic work you'll continue to do in the coming year :)
Hey Jennifer,
Thank you so much for sharing this - it's very brave of you!
Firstly, you should know that what you're feeling is completely normal! Everyone goes through these feelings of not feeling quite good enough and it is totally natural to feel a bit down. Law is an incredibly cutthroat...
It won't be a real concern in my opinion. Your contract mark is still good and you have a 2.1 so tbh I wouldn't worry about the 2.2s. Just do your best to ensure that your final year grades are as good as possible :)
Huge well-done @D! Great effort to bring your application cycle to a close for good! Who else are you waiting on/already have offers from if you don't mind me asking?
Absolutely no worries at all Helena but thank you so much! I'm sorry to hear you have been really unwell but hope your treatment is progressing well. We are all thinking of and praying for you :)
