@Jessica Booker
Hi Jessica, I was wondering if you had the answer to this question... Why do offshore law firms have people as counsel working in their offices? I understand offshore law firms are different than onshore law firms but I just thought that counsel was separate to solicitors and...
AG rejection post VI, very upset about this one :( please send tissues to me
The only thing keeping me going is this forum tbh, I've been applying for the past two years...
I have done a VI one month ago and haven't heard back although I have seen VS offers from other offices. I was wondering whether it was acceptable to ask GR about when we would receive updates? I don't want to sound pushy when I know they are very busy. Thoughts please?
My opinion would be that it doesn't necessarily mean you will be written off. I think GR knows how stressful these can be and how technical errors or difficulty can happen and so provided that the rest of your answer and the following answers were good, they wouldn't necessarily reject you based...
Same, only seen one person from here. I haven't heard and did my VI 3 weeks ago! Please let me know if you hear from them and I will too. I wish you all the best and hope we will make it together to the next steps :)
Hello,
@James Carrabino kindly suggested that I should create a thread for this. To reiterate my idea, I was thinking about a peer to peer case study exercise whereby we would prepare a case study in advance and someone would play the interviewer and the other one the candidate and then switch...

I did mine last week. For me it was mainly competency-based and your motivations for the firm. It was for the London office. Just really be clear on why you want to apply to AG and think about your experience and how this links to the firm! you'll do great, all the best :)
I got invited to a VI with Addleshaw Goddard yesterday and it is my first one ever! I'm quite nervous tbh, does anyone have any tips and can share their experiences? Good luck with applications everyone!!!
@Jessica Booker
Hello Jessica, I am applying to Addleshaw Goddard which has a lot less offices than other firms (13 offices). However I personally find that attractive as to me it seems they are very strategic with where they open new offices and don't just open an office to open one but find...
Anyone has any good advice on how to talk about commercial law events you've attended online in your applications? I feel like so many other people have attended these kind of events and I find it hard to use them in my apps to make me stand out from other people who've attended the same events.
Hello,
I graduated in July 2021 and I am now a paralegal until next August. I am in the process of applying to firms but I am just unsure whether I should apply for direct TC or vacation schemes. I have very little holidays so squeezing in vacation schemes will be difficult. I know that many...
