Everything can be asked by the interviewer so you should be prepared to answer any kind of motivations or competency based question or commercial question. When I was applying I used to prepare on everything even though I knew what they would have asked just because I felt more confident that...
The assessment is a situational judgment test and I am pretty sure there is a video interview at the end. This was not the case last year because the video interview was the next stage of the process after the situational judgment test.
In terms of tips for the situational judgment test, my...
It really depends on what you feel you were not able to discuss in the other answers and throughout the application questions. I remember that when I applied to the firm I talked about all the scholarship that I got from high school until university, volunteering experiences, and anything I was...
I feel like the week of the deadline probably fits this description so I would recommend applying a week before the deadline, two weeks if you can to be on the safer side.
Hey @Shreya Verma,
I think the way you approach this question and the things you want to discuss are personal to you so whatever you have not been able to mention in your application can be mentioned here.
I personally mostly discussed my academic achievements and scholarships I won from high...
Hey @Miss Chocolate,
Congratulations in obtaining an assessment centre, this is such an amazing news!
I shared some tips for interviews here which I think could be applicable to you...
Hey @Gimmeatc,
I really do think that @Gandalf could have not been more exhaustive in his answer and I also want to thank him for sharing his experience and for writing such a useful response.
As Gandalf said, never be disappointed by your grades, they will help you regardless. And you have...
I think they are trying to see what relevant skills you have developed from these professional experiences which will be relevant to your time as a trainee solicitor at the firm. I would also emphasise your experiences in a legal or corporate environment, highlighting how these have helped you...
Choosing which university to go to is a very personal thing and so many different factors have to be considered. I would say that it depends on what you want to study and the best universities to do that. I would look at rankings for the course you are applying to and see which one you like...
I am pretty sure this is Goodwin application. Since it is optional you can decide to not respond, but they might ask you the same question in the interview and I am afraid that you will be required to answer (I was asked the question in my interview at Goodwin) so my suggestion is to find an...
Yes, it is smarter to go with Dechert in the example you provided. I would say that I would try and allocate time to both application, but because you would have much more chances at Dechert, it would make sense to focus more on Dechert for sure.
Thanks for answering my question. I would say that it is a bit more challenging to apply for training contracts from outside the country, especially now in this political climate so I would start by saying to expect a lot of setbacks because of it. I personally feel like you have much more...
I would go straight into it as there is no time to waffle unfortunately! This will also give you an opportunity to have more time explaining your reasoning rather than rushing through the answer.
They do recruit from direct training contract but I would say that the majority of training contracts are given to the vacation scheme students so if you can, I would advise to apply for a vacation scheme!
Hey @Samridhi Jain,
Can I ask you if you are studying in the UK? I am asking because I do believe this is a key factor to my success and I would hate to give you advice based on this assumption so I just want to be clear so I can give you more tailored advice!
In terms of my experiences at...

Good luck with the video interview!
Firms are very understanding of this and if you feel like you will not be able to feel any better by resting before the assessment centre, then I think it would be worth contacting them and let them know and ask for the possibility of rescheduling.
However, I would still take into account that...
