Has anyone not heard back from DLA Piper yet? I’ve read that they’re having problems with gmail accounts, but my status on application portal hasn’t updated- shows the date I completed my WG back in December. Not sure if I should email them?

Everyone’s raised interesting arguments. Still think that law firms should be looking average degree classifications at your university (course) so they can determine how well you’ve done compared to your cohort.

This study pretty much confirms this as well- in short there is definitely some correlation between lower ucas points and higher probability of getting a first-I.e university with lower entrance requirements are giving our more...
So firms don’t look at averages at the university you have attended- e.g. someone who has achieved an average of 66 at a university where the average is 60 has arguably performed better than someone who has achieved a first at a university where the average is something like 68.
But do law firms contextualise university results in the same way they do with A-Levels? Would they take into account that the number of students achieving firsts is considerably lower at Russel group universities, for example?
Are direct TCs generally reserved for graduate changers/graduates? Also can you apply for a direct TC after you've failed to get VC with a firm- in the same application window?
