Linklaters encouraged me to re-apply after I didn’t make it past the AC. However, they usually expect people applying for a direct TC to have at least 4 weeks of continuous legal experience, and they said this a few times.

I did mine over a week ago, and I heard from trainees last year that they had to wait 2-3 to hear back, so it does seem to take a while

The application is exactly the same most of the time, same questions. Also worth noting that I've never done a vacation scheme and still got the interview. I made sure to highlight transferrable skills in my work experience section. I'm not sure if they expect more of me and a clearer "why law"...

I applied for an A&O winter vac scheme and got rejected after the AC. Applied for a direct TC this year and got invited to the AC again, which is coming up soon :)
