this may be a very dumb question - but why are law firms opening offices in Dublin. I read that it is because they can have access to EU markets ..... but they already have offices in Germany, France etc... Is it because it is an English speaking city in Europe or is there another reason?
I think 'good' is really subjective. You need to reflect on what goods means to you - what you want in a career - the type of work you want to be involved in. Then when you figure that out you would be able to find the firms that match that criteria. Maybe if you post the criteria you are...
Hi all, quick question - how long should the "Why x firm" be in an AC? (in terms of minutes for a 35 min competency interview)
Also, would you discuss a case in that answer or not - I mentioned a case in my application - and the interviewer has my application with them, so they could ask me if...
I am sorry about that experience that you had - you never know though, your answers may have been fine.
I do not have an interview with skadden (I did not even apply) - but if possible could you mention the topics that they spoke about. I would be interested to know the topics that interviewers...

Not fun at all! I received a question like what would be the worst part about being a commercial lawyer. I honestly had not prepared that....and I don't even remember what I said - which is the worst part 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
I am not sure about others, but I just listed all the open days I went to. Then proceeded to highlight the key learnings that I gained and how that solidified my interest in/ expanded my knowledge of commercial law. For example, my experience in negotiating a SPA for a fictitious client or...

Latham's test is like Linklater's test. I did Latham's test yesterday. It isn't timed but it took around 30 minutes. From what I remember there are 24 questions. Roughly half are scenario questions where you have to order your response from most to least likely. The other half there is a...
