Hi Nikki,
I think Travers' strengths are really in Private Equity and Dispute Resolution, as well as a rapidly-growing commercial IP and Technology department.
In terms of skills, I would just say the core skills you would need to be expected to show are the key ones with a real emphasis on...
Hi MZ,
Just wanted to say that I really appreciate you posting this! I'm sure loads of members will benefit from all the fantastic information you've got in here. Thank you!
Don't know about regional firms but I'm pretty sure that Goodwin Procter, Vinson & Elkins and Norton Rose Fulbright all have quite distinguished aviation practices.
Not necessarily a straight no but it's not something that's likely to go in your favour. At least you'll never make the mistake of submitting an app without proof reading again! If you were questioned about it at a later stage, you would just be up front, explain the situation and say you made a...
That's definitely something that I would include if I were approaching this question; if you're in doubt, though, consider looking for alternative answers and then choosing your favourite from the different options.
Great question! In such a small word count, I would personally just explore the example and skills gained, don't try to make specific links to the firm or life as a trainee here as, provided you show the transferability implicitly in how you write, they'll be able to join the dots.
Hi Lauren,
In my opinion these are all valid points to raise! I would also mention the fact that it gives you a better insight into the real internal workings of the firm which would make you a more effective trainee from the off :)

Depends on the firm:
Some firms, I think, quite like a candidate re-applying if they can show that they've grown and developed since the initial application. They may even check through your old application to compare it to the new one (hence why I always recommend starting a new app from...
This will be released on Monday buddy. Usually in the afternoon, it will probably be pinned by @Jaysen on release.
This is my article covering the foundations of applications and practice areas from last week...
I would personally approach it much in the same way that I would approach a normal AC CS interview presentation- i.e., no slides/ aides apart from some notes. You'll likely spend more time trying to format the slides etc than is worth it :)
Keep an eye out for my article being released on...
Maybe a daft question, but have you definitely got the spaces in at the point of the text editor in the app platform? Maybe need to add them back in manually at that stage.
I've got to be honest, I pasted mine from MS word as far as I can remember and I don't remember running into any issues...
Copied and pasted part of this from an answer on another thread recently:
I live in Aberdeen and my AC's were in London, so a lot of my day before the AC was spent travelling (see below)
Typically, my day would start around 6am for a train so I'd get working early- revising for different...
As a couple of people have mentioned, I think this would make an awesome thread!
