Hey, congrats on your AC!
This article might help, part of it is a discussion of how to approach this question and it gives different examples of types of issue you can choose too...
The closest comparable situation with brokers preventing trade transactions was during lockdown when WTI oil CFDs crashed to $-40/barrel. My broker and many others intervened and prevented me from closing my shorts on it (yes, I was v salty, cost me a lot of money) and then actually stopped me...
I know a few people have had offers, but I would just hold tight and wait for the email rather than trying to guess what it's likely to be based on others' experiences!
I think folk forget that RobinHood are essentially brokers, meaning they make their money out of spreads, commission and hedging against 95% of their users.
For anyone who's interested, Anton Kreil (Institute of Trading and Portfolio Management) delivered this guest lecture a few years ago (I...
For a virtual AC, I'm wearing my slippers! Smart shoes (hell, even bottoms to an extent) are unnecessary if they'll only see your top half. For my virtual ACs I opted for a smart shirt (tie on day 1, then I ditched it thereafter when I realised it was unnecessary), comfy chinos and a belt just...
I think it would come down to GR's final assessment post-interview to provide contextual information to it didn't prejudice things before or after.
I've got to be honest, though - I've personally done a mix of blind and 'normal' interviews, never really noticed a difference other than being...
Folk have been wearing all sorts so I wouldn't worry too much. Personally I bought an external USB microphone which sits on my desk out of shot of my webcam, and I just let audio run out of my main speakers. Mic wasn't super expensive, like £40 tops :)

Edit: Yes, that is...
Nothing that I know of. The only distinction I can imagine a firm making are to group law and non-law candidates together but even then, almost all AC's I've been at have been mixed.
Travers have a small GR team and, I believe, are steadily placing more and more emphasis on VSs as a means of recruitment rather than direct TC. Hope you have better luck with the VS app!

I personally would always wear a jacket; though I did actually take it off in my Travers interview when I was in the room as it was roasting!
Generally speaking though, collar and tie, full suit (2 pieces is absolutely fine, I personally find 3 pieces overkill but it's a personal thing) and...
Trust me, it won't be noticeable to anyone else! I sing and used to mix/ produce covers as a hobby, always felt super uncomfortable listening to my own voice because I could hear every tiny wobble etc, until I realised that I was just getting in my head and it wasn't remotely as bad as I thought!
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your AC! It's quite hard to give super specific advice without knowing the firm, but I would suggest starting with the 3 articles I've recently written on different parts of the AC process...
For what it's worth, I'm at a 'conventional' uni and don't have EC's coming out my ears (in fact, only like 1 in the entire time I've been at uni) - 99% of what I talk about comes from work history/ work experiences/ life experiences/ running my businesses etc
Hi,
My recent article on this topic might help you think of some examples based on the exemplar answers I've used:

If you're really struggling to get to grips with...
Depends a lot on the applicant. Applicants who've got IB experience will likely be asked about it, similarly those with consulting experience etc.
I've personally been asked "why law and not stay a full-time day trader?" and "why law and not a career entrepreneur?" (as a result of being a...
