Hey. I'm doing well thanks hope the same with you. I haven't actually. The firm itself is completely silent on the app process. No other source such as Chambers Student addresses the recruitment process. Nobody on TCLA has answered my question. Hopefully I'll get some clarity on the process in...

Do you know the recruitment process for Winston? I only just got the invite to take the WG test. What comes after that if successful?

Hey guys I got an invite for a Watson Glaser test. I did one last month so in preparing for it, I exhausted all the free online resources. I definitely wanna pay to get more practice. Anyone know the best links/test packages to buy? Also, is anyone familiar with the Winston & Strawn process...

So if I've sent the app last week and not received feedback or a test invite, is that basically a failed app?

I got it back about three days after taking the test.

I got a feedback report but nothing conclusive as to whether I made the next stage or not.

Hey guys I received an email from BCLP. It's my feedback report from the online assessment. Does this have anything to do with me progressing to the next stage? There isn't anything conclusive about the email. The report showed 3 of my highest scoring strengths and 1 of my lowest scoring ones...

I personally did about 200 on Gibson Dunn, about 125 on why commercial law, and most of the balance on covering any interests, positions of responsibility and non-academic achivements.

Yes, the firm was merely throwing bait out to see if you listen to a band as insulting to the ears as Coldplay. Good thing you ignored the bait and sang something else instead. You are destined for success.

Got slapped by King & Spalding and Morgan Lewis rejections. American firms really don't like me. One step closer to being a certified mum on mumsnet.

There is nothing you can do about the AC now. You won't be doing yourself or your applications justice if you keep fixating on it and worrying about it. It's a natural human response to review your errors and such but you just need to put it behind you and stay positive. There are plenty of...

I personally do that. I think as long as you fully write out the term first and then put the necessary bracket after (as you've done), you can then refer to the shortened version thereafter. I wouldn't overdo it though, but it can be useful in saving words.

@Jessica Booker Would you know anything about the BCLP situational judgment test? Although the firm has said it won't time you, it still recommends you spend about 45 mins. However, I'm thinking about taking advantage of the situation by spending as much time as I need. I'm just concerned as to...

Much appreciated, James. I was thinking that the extra curricular could be written in a way where I talk about the attributes gained from those hobbies etc. and that way I can leverage those attributes to indirectly answer the 'why me' section that isn't explicitly included in the firm's...

Idk if you're 'wrong' per se but you inspired me to re-read the criteria and it actually says you should include SOME of the following topics. So I do not need to address all 4. I think I might stick to your format because that one achievement thing seems so out of place and will burden the word...

hey guys would really appreciate some insight here... I'm applying to Gibson Dunn and I need to write a cover letter of max 650 words (which is very short). The firm basically have said on the app form that it wants you to cover the following topics: what attracts you to Gibson Dunn; why...

For anyone who has applied or is still applying to Mayer Brown, where is the requirement within the application form or from the firm itself that you need to provide a cover letter? It's certainly not within the app form. I only found a 300 word question basically asking us to list achievements...

Just a general question for you guys. I'm looking at a Watson Glaser feedback report and I've received separate percentile scores for each category of the R.E.D. mnemonic (Recognize Assumptions, Evaluate Arguments, Draw Conclusions). How does each letter of that mnemonic correspond with the 5...
