It's optional - Jessica confirmed its only there as the portal they use for TC applications is the same as all other hires (internal and external) so they cannot disable the CV section but, it is not required for TC applications.
The question stated 'in no more than 850 words...' so whilst you cannot change what you have submitted they were likely also assessing how concise you are able to write within the world limit
I believe they take mostly VS but have a healthy direct TC intake - therefore, VS is more favorable but your direct application will still be read and considered seriously for a TC.
I can't provide an estimate for figures but hope this helps!

I applied for their WVS in early September and didn't hear anything until I decided to reach out in mid November ~2 weeks before the WVS commenced and only then did I receive a PFO a couple days later - I have seen some HSF SVS AC invites on here so may be worth emailing grad rec to check

When inputting work experience in applications, do you do a new section for each role - for example, if I worked at the same company but changed role and department would I put a new entry with the dates for that role?
