Definitely! Thinking back about past application mistakes is a really important part of improving for the future.
I should have been more clear. I was mostly interested in cases where I've passed the initial written application stage and need to submit another application in a future cycle...
I'm curious.
Assuming I need to re-apply for VS/TCs (a very plausible assumption given that I've bombed the only two VIs I've received), how bad does it look if I make points that are similar to those I made in a previous written application to the same firm?
For instance, do I need to have...
I'll be sending TCLA moderators thank you notes and taco bell when I get my training contract - for putting up with all my application psychodrama on this forum.
Are there any UK based firms that value maturity and experience?
I’ve only ever got past the initial application stage for US firms and this makes me wonder if I should just stop investing so much in UK firms.

omg! That’s what that blur function was for!!! I was so scared to press the button and find out because of the car crash I caused during my V&E VI. Unlike most of you, I’m a geriatric millennial who is generally bad with tech. But thanks for letting me know - I’ll do that next time.
My best...
How do people improve on timed VIs? I did a video interview simulation with TCLA and got decent feedback but my brain just absolutely melted during the real thing. Also I hate looking at myself on camera - so cringe.
By very 'strict', does that mean they don't really take mitigating circumstances into account? Or very 'strict' in that, you need to have high 2.1s and firsts? (Asking out of curiosity, didn't apply there this year)
This is excellent. Thank you! I’m a late career changer and a foreign student, so it’s great to know that if I can just really highlight the previous skills and experiences I’ve gained, then that may well be enough :)
For anyone who’s done Weil’s video interview, did you have unlimited time to prepare before you recorded your individual response? I’m nervous to so much as open the link because I don’t feel ready 😭
