I think this is still within normal waiting time to be fair. Last year I got my WG invite 2 weeks after I submitted which was deadline day.

2020-21 Direct Training Contract Applications Discussion

Very off topic but I am for the first time on the "other end" of an application process where I shortlist candidates and I can't imagine what grad rec have with thousands of applications. Having said that, I also realise how being rejected really doesn't always mean you're not good as genuinely...

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

So after 10 months of waiting, I just received my Orrick PFO. Honestly, I don't get this anymore. This was my best application to date, and it seems I progress the applications that are more last minute than the ones I work hard for. I work with some of these law firms on the other end of...

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

Hi, I'm not entirely sure as I am a graduate and that wouldn't apply to me. All I know is that I applied May 2020 and am yet to hear back as they are reviewing them still apparantly which is .. frustrating.

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

Jessica, do you have an idea of why people who have done the LPC need to do the SQE2? As far as I am aware, it is similar to the "skills" part of the LPC (interviewing clients, advocacy, legal research) etc. Why do you think we need to pass this again?

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

Guys what do you do if a firm has not responded to you but to others? I've chased via email and phone and nothing! (during the phone call grad rec said I should email them which I did right after our call) - do you keep trying or let it go? I find it so hard to let it go considering my efforts...

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

Mayer Brown PFO post telephone interview. Got to the AC before with a lot less experience and didn't really know what I was doing at the time. On days like today I do not get this process whatsoever. It honestly feels like a game of luck and it's so demotivating. I wish I could know the answer...
