One thing that I value is how firms actually perceive diversity and inclusion. I think someone mentioned before that law firms are ultimately businesses and they are not promoting diversity and inclusion purely out of the goodness of their hearts.
However, I always find that firms which are...
Firstly, it’s been really interesting to read about everyone’s insights on this matter.
As a POC myself, my opinion on this may be slightly one-sided, and it definitely does not represent the opinion of all minorities!
I think one of my issues when I see firms that are not very diverse, is...
Hi!
In which case, I am going to restructure my answer to see if I can incorporate how my achievement benefitted those around me. However, if that doesn't work, I think I will just pick a different example that better suits this question!
Thank you so much for your help :)
Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a good day so far ☺️
The vacation scheme thread has gotten quite crowded with application updates, and I didn't want to interrupt that chain, so I thought it might be best to ask this here.
I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on how to...
Like others have mentioned, I think delete it unless you are using it to keep an eye on certain jobs/positions etc. I’ve never really understood the point of LinkedIn myself, and deleted my account two weeks after getting it; this has never stopped me from being able to network with other...
Same! I am a bit worried because bits of my report directly contradict what I have written in my application. For example, in the test I scored that I ‘don’t put a lot of effort into small tasks,’ but in my application I wrote that I put full effort into every task that I am given 💀
Thank you for your kind response!
Honestly, I hope that they were just bluffing in their message. If they weren’t (and I had evidence) like you said, I genuinely do not have much choice but to report them. I just really hope it doesn’t reach that stage
That's a relief - I really wasn't sure how else to handle this, and I didn't realise that the university may not be able to take this further without extra evidence. Hopefully it will never reach that stage. Also, thank you so much for your guidance!
Firstly, I am so sorry that you had to go through that with the students in your cohort, as well as the pain you must have gone through due to your injury and your personal circumstances. It sounds like a horrendous situation to have been in, and it is extremely admirable that you have gotten to...
I agree, I really want to avoid taking this any further and potentially harming them any more, but I was hesitant in my decision in case it would have been better to flag this up with the university. I am currently trying to construct some general advice for them instead, and hopefully it will...
I agree I am more comfortable with not escalating this (especially because I do feel sympathetic about their home situation), but I was just hesitant about not doing anything at all. Thank you for your advice!
Hi. I apologise for posting this on here but this thread seems to be the most active. I need some general advice and have nowhere else to turn to. My issue literally feels like one of those situational judgement questions people gets asked in interviews, but unfortunately this is very real...
I can’t turn it off either- Is this a part of that update to TCLA from a while ago?
I wonder if we’ll get Easter eggs, pumpkins and Christmas trees floating on our screens when the time comes
