Hearing Back from Law Firms, Assessment Centres & Interview Tips - 2019 - 2020

To be more convincing, I think it is important to show you have been proactive in exploring the practice area you are interested in (and that the firm specialises in). It does not have to be from legal work experience (or even that time consuming), you can show your interest by reading books...

Hearing Back from Law Firms, Assessment Centres & Interview Tips - 2019 - 2020

I also think it is important to pick the right firm. If you have a convincing narrative as to why you have chosen them, and why they should choose you, it becomes a lot easier to write a good application that can get you past the first round. Have you thought about which firms to apply to...

Yes, you are right! I noticed a few of the same questions around the middle of the test! I just thought a couple of the questions were particularly tricky.

Hearing Back from Law Firms, Assessment Centres & Interview Tips - 2019 - 2020

Yea, they send the emails out so fast. It was the same when I applied for the direct TC last year. My friend and I got a test invite a day or two after the deadline. They must filter them somehow because my other friend who applied last year did not get the test invite.

Hearing Back from Law Firms, Assessment Centres & Interview Tips - 2019 - 2020

Hey! I did it last year. It is a SHL verbal reasoning test. It was my first ever test and I did so badly and was in the 5th percentile lol. I actually find WG tests way easier than pure verbal reasoning tests. I just got the invite too, so need to get practising! There are decent practise...

Hearing Back from Law Firms, Assessment Centres & Interview Tips - 2019 - 2020

I got to an AC with a firm last July and they told us that they only had two spaces left because they filled them all up from the vac schemes. There were eight of us in the room lol.
