I got the impression that they will be holding the first round interviews for the direct TC applicants and then doing call backs for the VS and the TC streams together, but I didn't ask for an exact timescale.
Yes that would be amazing! Good luck to us both :D I am also waiting for Forsters...
That sounds like a great idea. Would this system rely on others finding the content 'useful' and then marking it as such? Or do you think the OP could vote their own post as 'useful' if they feel that they have tried to provide quality content?
Is there some way of creating a system where authors of posts could mark their post as 'advice' or 'general conversation'?
Points could be awarded for 'advice' posts, but 'general conversational' posts would not attract points.
This puts the onus on the author to be sensible when categorising...
Really good scores for your first try but I would keep practising. I usually average between 80 and 90% on the Clifford Chance Watson Glaser test and I was ranked in the 65th percentile for the Linklaters Watson Glaser and 88th percentile for Hogan Lovells when I took live tests, evidencing...
I would personally find free access to premium or an application review the most useful. However, many of the contributors have TC's so would not need an app review. I don't know whether it would complicate things to vary the rewards depending on the member's status as a TC holder/non-TC holder...
I wasn't given feedback this year either. I haven't chased it though. Please do let me know if they respond to you.
Just in case this helps you at all, this was my feedback last year, but it's probably generic feedback they give to everyone. I doubt they provide bespoke feedback to thousands of...
I have found that the more I practise speaking in front of others, the less nervous I get in interviews. Perhaps try joining things like debate clubs (if your uni has one - or start your own). You could try recording yourself answering random questions on Zoom and watching them back. I have...
I am willing to volunteer successful and unsuccessful apps and also my CV if needed. I recently revamped my CV so you can have the previous version and the new version :)
I hope you are correct!
I attended the open day in September 2019 and reading this news now, I am wondering why on earth I would have been accepted onto a competitive open day to spend the whole day with the firm if there was little prospect of me actually securing a TC there...o_O
That is...
That is strange. My candidate percentile for Hogan Lovells was 88, but they told me I was unsuccessful based on my application rather than the WG test when I pressed them...
I received this from BLM in June:
"Unfortunately at this stage, due to the current circumstances, all training contract applications and processes are unfortunately being paused. We are hopeful that things will change in the coming months and as they do myself or someone from our wider team...
Just submitted my last one as well. I can't believe it's 31st July already - this cycle has absolutely flown by. Good luck to everyone submitting today! :)
It was announced by Rishi in his statement right? Sounds very interesting but its for people on universal credit which would mean you need to prove you cant get a job elsewhere I assume. I don't know if this will help many TC hunters.
